about sarah

I started working in mental health during my training placement in a cancer charity in 2011. In 2013 I gained a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy and in 2016 BACP Accreditation.

To compliment my core training, I have attended trauma training, applied suicide intervention training (ASIST), anxiety awareness training, creative ways of working with childhood sexual abuse, walk-talk therapy, online counselling to name but a few.

For nine years I had a private practice working face to face in Nottingham city centre supporting adults from many different backgrounds and with a wide array of presenting challenges such as: cancer related issues, relationship difficulties, identity crisis, grief, loss, trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, stress, suicidality, and sexuality and gender variance.

I have many years of experience of working both short term and long term with clients. My specialist areas are working with grief, loss and people affected by cancer (patients, family, and friends).

Since the pandemic I have been offering sessions in a combination of ways, face to face (Nottingham city centre) online, over the telephone and outdoors.

MY Counselling METHOD

  • Step 1

We start with a 30-minute initial consultation on the telephone or online to find out whether we are a good match.

  • Step 2

We then start building a picture of what it is like to be you. Questions are encouraged and we agree goals and a way of working together.

  • Step 3

We meet weekly or fortnightly for counselling sessions.

Iā€™m here to help.
